The lecture is entitled ‘Into the Deep: Biodiscovery in the World’s Largest and Least Explored Ecosystem’, and Dr Glover will share insight into how the depths of the oceans hold the secret to understanding the evolution of all life on our planet. In recent years, research has revealed that the vast, swirling biochemical laboratory that is our ocean is filled with new types of chemicals and microbes that have the potential to revolutionise therapeutics.
