IMechE’s EV BATTERIES: ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE ENGINEERING

November 12, 2024 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The 2024 edition of the IMechE’s EV Batteries conference will give all attendees the opportunity to gain insight into the engineering challenges associated with bringing battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) to market.

Taking place on 12-13 November 2024 at the British Motor Museum in Warwick, attend the EV Batteries 2024 conference to hear about the latest developments in cost-efficient design, infrastructure challenges, testing and monitoring across all BEVs, hybrids and off-road vehicles as well as marine and rail application areas.

Whether it be tackling energy density to enable longer journeys and a reduction of battery size or making high voltage charging safe, the imperative to improve cost efficient design and drive market sales requires engineers, researchers, developers, and manufacturers to integrate ideas and collaborate effectively.

With projected sales targets and engineering challenges in mind, this conference will give delegates the opportunity to hear the latest developments in cell design and technology, thermal management, lifecycle analysis and power electronics. This focus will allow engineers and manufacturers to leave the conference with an effective roadmap to a battery powered future.

This conference is co-located with H2ICE: The Engine of the Future?, taking place on 12 November. Attendees to either event will have access to shared networking opportunities throughout the day. Attendees will receive copies of the slides from both events.

“Excellent event to keep up to speed with developments in the industry. There are many battery events around but this stands out being run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with the high quality of the content and attendees from across the automotive industry”
Global Electrification Services Leader, HORIBA MIRA

“The event was extremely informative with up to date ideas and developments from a range of different companies with both complementary and contrasting viewpoints on the future direction of the industry. It has been reassuring to see the commonalities in the challenges facing those working in EV battery-related product development”
Development Engineer, Constellium
