SUMMARY:WIRE member discussion - Innovation For Good Growth
DESCRIPTION:Innovation doesn’t always have to mean a huge breakthrough. \nSometimes\, it’s about spotting something that isn’t working\, asking why\, trying something different and learning from the result. \nThat’s the thinking behind Innovating for Good Growth. \nBy focusing on opportunity\, value and capability\, businesses can identify where small changes could make a meaningful difference — and then use evidence to understand what actually works. \nWe’ll be exploring this approach at The Wire Live on 15 October\, looking at how innovation and process improvement can support better outcomes for businesses\, customers and communities. \nIf you’re interested in turning ideas into practical improvements\, come and join us.

SUMMARY:International Growth & Market Entry Programme
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\n\nA practical\, fully funded programme helping Oxfordshire SMEs build export confidence\, identify opportunities and grow internationally. \n\n\n\n\nYou must be based in Oxfordshire and have completed Enterprise Oxfordshire’s Business Support Tool since the 1st of November 2025 to attend this event. If you purchase a ticket without completing this\, your ticket will be cancelled. Business Support Tool – Enterprise Oxfordshire Business \nThis International Growth & Market Entry Programme is a practical\, fully funded programme for Oxfordshire SMEs ready to start exporting or grow their presence in international markets. Across four interactive online workshops\, supported by 1:1 sessions and accountability calls\, participants will develop a focused plan around a real export opportunity for their business. Whether you are identifying the right overseas market\, considering routes to market\, preparing for a trade show or developing international sales leads\, the programme provides expert guidance\, peer learning and practical tools to help you take confident next steps. Each workshop is designed to turn insight into action\, leaving you with clear priorities to progress between sessions. \nWho is it for? \nThis programme is aimed at Oxfordshire businesses that: \n\nHave been actively trading for at least 12 months.\nHave clear export ambition: either planning to start exporting in the next 6 to 12 months or already exporting and seeking to grow or enter new markets.\nHave ideas about pilot projects that could be worked on.\nCan commit to attend all sessions and complete actions between sessions.\nWill provide a single named lead from the business to engage.\n\nThere will be a short eligibility form to complete once you register for this event. If your business does not meet these eligibility criteria then support is available outside of this programme. Contact Liz.O’Hara@enterpriseoxfordshire.com to discuss. \nSession dates: \n10th November: Market Readiness and Opportunity – The opening group session sets the tone for the whole programme. It is practical\, energising and focused on action. The cohort profile shared in advance means there is no need for lengthy introductions – the group gets straight into the work. The session combines a quick audit of how each business appears to international buyers right now with the foundations of export readiness and an immediate focus on quick wins. \n2nd December: Where in the World? and Why? – Market selection is where many businesses either get stuck or make expensive mistakes – going where there is an easy opportunity rather than the best opportunity\, or trying to pursue too many markets at once. \n12th January: International Growth and Routes to Market – Once a business has done its research and selected its pilot market(s)\, the focus shifts to how to enter it. For SMEs\, this decision is always shaped by the reality of limited time and budget – there is rarely a perfect option\, only the most practical one given current resources. \n2nd February: Export Sales and Lead Generation – By this point\, businesses have done their research\, chosen their market and are clear on how they are going to enter it. Session 4 is dedicated to the practicalities of generating export sales and marketing internationally – how to find and approach the right buyers\, how to build relationships across cultures\, how to develop and manage a pipeline\, and what effective international marketing looks like for an SME. This is the session where theory meets action. \nMore details on each session will be provided after registration and eligibility checks have been completed.

SUMMARY:Commercial Leadership: Making Financial Decisions for Growth
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\n\nA commercial growth programme for ambitious founders\, CEOs and senior leaders of Oxfordshire businesses employing over 5 employees. \n\n\n\n\nYou must be based in Oxfordshire and have completed Enterprise Oxfordshire’s Business Support Tool since the 1st of November 2025 to attend this event. If you purchase a ticket without completing this\, your ticket will be cancelled. Business Support Tool – Enterprise Oxfordshire Business \nGrowing a business requires a different type of leadership than starting one. The decisions become bigger. Teams become larger. Systems become more complex. Opportunities multiply\, but so do distractions\, risks and competing priorities. \nThe Commercial Leadership for Growth Programme has been designed for business leaders who want to scale with greater confidence\, make better commercial decisions and learn directly from those who have successfully navigated similar challenges. \nOver five face-to-face sessions hosted at inspirational business locations across Oxfordshire\, participants will explore the commercial disciplines that underpin sustainable growth. Each session combines practical frameworks\, peer discussion and direct access to successful founders\, CEOs and commercial leaders who bring the topic to life through their own experiences. We would encourage participants to join the whole programme\, however\, if some sessions or dates don’t work then full attendance is not required. \nParticipants will then have the option to continue their development through a facilitated peer advisory programme\, providing accountability\, challenge and support as they implement their growth plans. \nWho is it for? \nThis programme is aimed at: \n\nFounders and Managing Directors\nCEOs and Senior Leaders\nBusinesses employing 5-50 people\nGrowth-focused organisations seeking their next stage of development\n\nSession dates: \n20th October: Define Your Strategy and Growth Choices – Making better growth decisions and building a focused roadmap (Bee House\, Milton Park). \n3rd November: Choose Your Model\, Pricing and Sales Strategy – Creating profitable growth and developing a stronger sales engine (Bicester Motion). \n17th November: Making Financial Decisions for Growth – Using financial insight to make smarter investment and scaling decisions (Boston House\, Grove Business Park). \n1st December: Build the Systems and Operations for Growth – Building the operational foundations required for sustainable growth (venue TBC). \n15th December: Build Your Team and Lead for Growth – Creating the structure\, capability and culture required to deliver growth (Wood Centre for Innovation\, Oxford). \nMore details on each session will be provided after registration. \nQuestions you might be asking yourself: \n\nHow do I scale without becoming the bottleneck?\nHow do I create a more predictable pipeline?\nWhich opportunities should I pursue – and which should I ignore?\nHow do I build a team capable of delivering growth?\nHow do I make better commercial decisions with confidence?\nWhat does the next stage of leadership look like for me?
