SUMMARY:Business Decision Making – From Stuck to Taking Action (Part 2)
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\n\nAn online workshop to help you test your decision\, check the logic and numbers\, and turn it into a simple\, confident implementation plan. \n\n\n\n\nYou must be based in Oxfordshire and have completed Enterprise Oxfordshire’s Business Support Tool since the 1st of November 2025 to attend this event. If you purchase a ticket without completing this\, your ticket will be cancelled. Business Support Tool – Enterprise Oxfordshire Business \nHave you got a decision in mind – but you’re not sure if it really stacks up? \nThis live\, interactive workshop is Part 2 of a two‑part series designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs move from uncertainty to clear\, confident execution. \nIn Part 2\, we focus on testing your chosen option\, checking the logic and basic numbers\, and turning it into a practical implementation plan with checkpoints and an “escape path” if things don’t go as expected. \nWho is it for? \nThis workshop is ideal for: \n\nSmall business owners and founders who have a decision in mind\, but want to test it before committing.\nEntrepreneurs who want a simple way to check the impacts and numbers behind their decisions.\nManagers in small organisations who need to plan and execute decisions with more confidence.\n\nYou’ll get the most from Part 2 if you either: \n\nAttended Part 1: Why Decisions Get Stuck – Understand and Simplify\, or\nCome with a specific decision and a preferred option already in mind.\n\nWhat we’ll cover in Part 2 \nIn this workshop\, you will: \n\nAssess the likely impacts of your decision on customers\, cash\, capacity\, and risk.\nIdentify the key assumptions that must be true for your decision to work.\nDo simple “back‑of‑the‑envelope” checks on the numbers – no complex spreadsheets required.\nLearn why focusing on “one thing brilliantly” often beats doing three things badly.\nBuild a one‑page implementation plan for your decision\, including first actions\, owners\, and timelines.\nDesign checkpoints\, success measures\, and an “escape path” so you can adjust course if needed.\n\nYou’ll use structured templates and get the chance to discuss your plan with others in a practical\, supportive environment. \nWhat you’ll leave with \nBy the end of Part 2\, you will: \n\nHave tested the logic and basic numbers behind your decision.\nHave a simple\, realistic implementation plan you can start immediately.\nKnow when and how you’ll review progress – and what you’ll do if things aren’t working.\nFeel more confident about making a decision and actually executing it.\n\nFormat and what to expect \n\nLive online workshop (Zoom).\n2 hours of interactive input\, exercises\, and discussion.\nDesigned for non‑financial specialists – we keep the maths practical and accessible.\nYou’ll be encouraged to bring a real business decision to work on throughout the session.\n\nHow Part 2 connects to Part 1 \nThis workshop builds directly on Part 1: Why Decisions Get Stuck – Understand and Simplify. In Part 1\, you clarify the decision and simplify your options; in Part 2\, you test your chosen option and turn it into action. \nYou can attend Part 2 on its own if you already have a clear decision and preferred option\, but we strongly recommend attending both parts for the full experience. \nThis Workshop is being delivered by: \nPhil Curtis\, a specialist in transforming businesses towards a high-performance culture with a sustainable future. He has a toolkit for growth\, change\, and sustainability\, built through 30 years leadership in global companies\, small and large\, across multiple sectors. His approach will help you to simplify your thinking\, prioritise\, and make good decisions that drive long-term success. \nMinimal Financial Assistance (MFA) scheme \nThe Growth Hub programme operates a Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) scheme. All SMEs which receive support under this programme are being aided under the UK Subsidy Control Act (2022) and The Subsidy Control (Gross Cash Amount and Gross Cash Equivalent) Regulations (2022 No. 1186). \nMFA allows a beneficiary to receive up to £315\,000 of Subsidy over a three-fiscal year period (i.e. the current and previous two fiscal years). The value of MFA given is the gross cash amount or the gross cash equivalent of the subsidy. The MFA value of this webinar is £833.
